Art Competition 2026

It’s that time of year again to bring out the budding artist in your students as we launch the 43^rd annual Credit Union National Art Competition 2026. This year’s theme is “World of Colour”.

There are two categories: Part A – General Category & Part B – Additional Needs Category

Each category includes the following age groups (aged as at 31^st December 2026)

7 years & under

8-10 years inclusive

11-13 years inclusive

14-17 years inclusive

18 years & over (Adult)

The competition is judged over three levels:

Stage 1 – Le Chéile CU / Local Level – 23/10/26

Stage 2 – Chapter / Regional Level 20/11/26

Stage 3 – National Level – 04/12/26

Local level will be judged by an adjudicator(s) appointed by Le Chéile CU and prizes will be given for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd in each category. The winning entry in each category at local level will go forward to the Chapter / Regional final and the winning entries only at Chapter / Regional level will go forward to the National final. The winning entries at National level may feature on the National Credit Union calendar.

Closing date for Le Chéile CU / Local level competition is Friday 23rd October 2026 

Please ensure all entries are returned to our Athboy or Oldcastle office by Friday 23/10/26.

All entries must be submitted in Landscape either A2 or A3 size. Other sizes and portrait oriented entries will be disqualified from adjudication.

A fully completed entry form must be attached to each entry in order for that entry to be considered valid ie Correct Category, Age group, Entrant & School details, Unaided work declaration ticked, Photographic Image consent  Y or N ticked & signed by Parent /Guardian /Authorised person.
